smayl.app runs on the smallest cookie footprint we can manage. This page explains which cookies are in use, why, and how you can control them.
This cookie policy describes the cookies and similar tracking technologies used on smayl.app and its subdomains. It sits alongside the privacy notice; details of how personal data is processed are covered there.
A cookie is a small text file a website places in your browser. It is typically used to remember small pieces of information such as your language preference or to maintain a session.
Strictly necessary (functional) cookies — no consent required:
- lp — remembers your language preference (TR/EN/DE). First-party, 1-year lifetime, contains no personal data.
- _cf_bm, cf_clearance — Cloudflare security and bot-mitigation cookies. Session-based or up to 30 days; protect against DDoS and automated abuse.
- This category falls under the UK GDPR / ePrivacy Directive 'strictly necessary' exemption — user consent is not required.
Analytics cookies — not currently in use:
- smayl.app does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar traditional analytics cookies.
- If a privacy-respecting, anonymous analytics solution such as Plausible or Umami is introduced later, we will obtain explicit consent and update this policy.
Third-party cookies — none currently:
- smayl.app does not set any third-party advertising, retargeting, or social-media cookies.
- Once integrations such as the WhatsApp Business API go live we will add a consent mechanism (cookie banner) for any cookies they require and update this policy.
All modern browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may break some site functionality — for example, remembering your language choice.

If our cookie usage changes — for example when we add analytics or a third-party integration — we update this policy and refresh the date at the foot of the page. For material changes we may also post a notice on the homepage.
