This page summarises what data smayl.app collects when you request a demo, why it's retained, and what your rights are.

Data you provide (demo form):
- Full name
- Clinic name
- Phone number
Technical data collected automatically:
- IP address (at the Cloudflare edge)
- User-Agent header
- Visit timestamp
- Country code (via Cloudflare geo-lookup)
Cookie policy: this site is cookieless. The only cookie set is lp=1, a functional preference cookie used to remember your language choice; it contains no personal data.
- To respond to your demo request (a clinician follows up within 24 hours)
- IP-based language redirection — the country code is used at request time only and never stored
- UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) — processing necessary for steps taken at your request before entering into a contract
- UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest of the data controller (responding to the demo enquiry)
- Demo form data: retained for at most 90 days.
- If a customer relationship is established, data is transferred to a CRM under a separate retention policy. Otherwise it is erased at the end of the retention window.
- Log data: Cloudflare default of 7 days at the edge; smayl keeps no additional logs.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (US) — hosting and CDN. Transfers operate under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
- No analytics service is currently in use.
- The demo form is currently a mock — no data is transmitted to any external recipient. This notice will be updated when a real integration is introduced.
Under UK GDPR (Articles 15–22) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request rectification of inaccurate data
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Object to automated decision-making
